Examining shoulder pain and ultrasound findings in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome
Subacromial Impingement Syndrome: The Relationship Between Shoulder Functional Tests and Ultrasound Parameters

What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on patients diagnosed with subacromial impingement syndrome at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic of Muğla Training and Research Hospital. Participants aged 18-70 will undergo clinical evaluations and functional tests, including the DASH and Constant Murley scores. A radiologist with four years of musculoskeletal ultrasound experience will measure various ultrasound parameters related to shoulder anatomy. The study aims to correlate these functional tests with ultrasound findings to better understand the condition.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-70 who have been clinically diagnosed with subacromial impingement syndrome.
Not a fit: Patients with rheumatologic diseases, previous shoulder surgeries, or other specified exclusions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the diagnosis and management of subacromial impingement syndrome, leading to improved patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored ultrasound in shoulder conditions, this specific correlation with functional tests is relatively novel.
