What this trial studies

This descriptive study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy and medication adherence in individuals diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD). Conducted at Adıyaman University Training and Research Hospital, the study will enroll 135 participants and utilize validated scales to assess self-efficacy and medication adherence. Data collection will occur between March and October 2025, focusing on patients who have had CAD for at least one year. The findings aim to enhance understanding of how self-efficacy influences treatment adherence in CAD patients.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with coronary artery disease for at least one year.

Not a fit: Patients with primary diagnoses other than coronary artery disease or those unable to complete the questionnaires due to mental health issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved medication adherence and health outcomes for patients with coronary artery disease.
