What this trial studies

This study aims to optimize the imaging of inflammatory spinal cord lesions using advanced MRI sequences, including a novel 3D FGAPSIR technique. Participants will undergo standard imaging protocols alongside this new sequence to assess its effectiveness. The study involves verifying inclusion criteria, obtaining consent, and performing MRI scans that include both traditional and new imaging methods. The total examination time will be slightly extended to incorporate the additional sequence.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 who require a medullary exploration via 3T MRI for inflammatory spinal cord assessment.

Not a fit: Patients with legal protection measures, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with contraindications to MRI may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the accuracy of diagnosing and monitoring spinal cord injuries.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in improving MRI techniques for spinal conditions.
