What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of comprehensive treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by analyzing patient data from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. It focuses on identifying risk factors that influence treatment sensitivity, utilizing PD-L1 expression levels and the morphology of tertiary lymphoid structures to develop an efficacy evaluation model. A randomized controlled trial will then be conducted to validate this model and its practical application in selecting optimal treatment plans for patients with advanced liver cancer.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
Not a fit: Patients with severe comorbidities, a history of other malignancies, or those who have received prior anti-tumor treatments may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more personalized and effective treatment strategies for patients with advanced liver cancer.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with immunotherapy combined with targeted therapy in treating unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma, indicating potential success for this approach.
