What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to determine whether adherence to the MIND diet, a dietary pattern designed to enhance brain health, can improve cognitive performance and memory in individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Participants will receive either a MIND diet meal or a control meal delivered to their homes daily for three months. They will complete online surveys and cognitive assessments before and after the intervention, while also keeping a food diary. The study is conducted entirely remotely, ensuring accessibility for participants.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18-64 with a self-reported diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis who can consume the provided meals.
Not a fit: Patients outside the age range of 18-64, those with other neurodegenerative diseases, or individuals unable to consume the study meals may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a dietary intervention that enhances cognitive function in patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
How similar studies have performed: While dietary interventions for cognitive health have been explored, this specific approach using the MIND diet in MS patients is relatively novel.
