What this trial studies

This study evaluates the validity and reliability of gait and jumping parameters measured by the iSen device in healthy adults aged 18-35. Gait analysis is crucial for assessing overall health and functional limitations, while vertical jump performance serves as a measure of lower limb strength. The iSen device, a wearable sensor, will be compared to the established BTS G-Walk system to determine its accuracy and consistency in measurements. Participants must have no history of musculoskeletal or neurological conditions that could affect their performance.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults aged 18-35 with no history of lower extremity surgery or conditions affecting gait.

Not a fit: Patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or systemic pathologies that could influence gait or jumping performance may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved methods for assessing gait and jump performance, enhancing clinical evaluations and treatment plans.

How similar studies have performed: While gait analysis is a well-established field, the specific use of the iSen device for these measurements is a novel approach that has not been extensively tested.
