What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess how proprioception and muscle strength influence kinesiophobia in individuals who have undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). It considers various factors such as graft type, patient age, activity level, and psychological readiness for returning to sports. By understanding the relationship between these factors and fear of re-injury, the study seeks to provide insights that could improve rehabilitation outcomes for ACLR patients.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18-35 who have had ACL reconstruction surgery at least 6 months prior.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of previous lower extremity surgery or recent lower extremity injuries may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help enhance rehabilitation strategies and improve the confidence and activity levels of patients recovering from ACL reconstruction.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of this study may be novel, previous studies have indicated that addressing psychological factors like kinesiophobia can significantly impact rehabilitation outcomes in ACLR patients.
