What this trial studies
This study focuses on assessing the diagnostic accuracy of advanced MRI techniques in patients diagnosed with deep endometriosis who are candidates for surgical treatment. It aims to explore innovative methods such as augmented reality, tractography, 3D-modelling, and radiomics to enhance pre-operative planning. By utilizing these cutting-edge imaging techniques, the study seeks to improve the personalization of treatment approaches for affected patients. The research will involve patients aged 18 to 40 who have been clinically diagnosed with deep endometriosis and require further MRI evaluation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18 to 40 with a clinical diagnosis of deep endometriosis requiring MRI for further evaluation.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of previous abdominal surgery, malignancies, or chronic inflammatory bowel diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more accurate diagnoses and tailored surgical interventions for patients with deep endometriosis, potentially reducing complications.
How similar studies have performed: While the application of advanced MRI techniques in endometriosis is still emerging, similar studies have shown promise in improving diagnostic accuracy in other conditions.
