Inclusion Criteria: * age \>/= 18 years; * presence of deep endometriotic nodule(s) infiltrating the tunica muscularis of the sigmoid colon/rectum. Exclusion Criteria: * age \<18 years: * presence of coexisting inflammatory bowel disease; * patients who have received previous pelvic radiotherapy.
