What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the effectiveness of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in managing patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) that has spread to the liver. The study will involve patients who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer and have measurable liver lesions. By utilizing MRI, the researchers hope to improve the evaluation and treatment planning for these patients. The study will be conducted at a single center, focusing on the role of MRI in clinical decision-making.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old with a histological diagnosis of colorectal cancer and measurable liver metastases.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those unable to undergo MRI due to contraindications will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the diagnostic accuracy and treatment strategies for patients with liver metastases from colorectal cancer.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of MRI in cancer evaluation is established, this specific approach focusing on liver metastases from colorectal cancer is less common and may provide novel insights.
