What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the effectiveness of artificial intelligence algorithms in managing postoperative pain in patients who have undergone lung resections. By analyzing data collected from patients treated between January 2023 and October 2024, the study seeks to identify patterns and improve pain management strategies. The focus is on understanding how AI can enhance the treatment of acute postoperative pain, which is a significant issue affecting patient recovery and satisfaction.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 who have undergone lung resection during the specified timeframe.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years of age or those who did not undergo lung resection will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved pain management strategies, enhancing recovery and patient satisfaction after lung surgeries.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of AI in healthcare is a growing field, this specific application in postoperative pain management is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
