Effects of respiratory muscle training on chronic low back pain
Comparison of the Effects of Foundation and Functional Inspiratory Muscle Training in Addition to Classical Physiotherapy in Non-Specific Chronic Low Back Pain

What this trial studies
This study examines the impact of basic and functional respiratory muscle training on individuals suffering from non-specific chronic low back pain. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one receiving standard physical therapy, another receiving basic respiratory muscle training alongside physical therapy, and a third receiving functional respiratory muscle training with physical therapy. Evaluations will assess pain intensity, disability, physical activity, quality of life, and psychological factors at multiple time points over a year. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of these interventions in improving patient outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 18-65 with chronic low back pain lasting at least 3 months and a pain intensity score of 3 or higher.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of cancer, spinal infections, or other serious spinal conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce pain and improve functionality for patients with chronic low back pain.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with respiratory muscle training in similar populations, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
