What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of Mulligan mobilization techniques, both with and without the Niel Asher technique, on patients suffering from adhesive capsulitis, commonly known as frozen shoulder. It is a randomized controlled trial that will assess pain levels, range of motion, and disability in participants aged 40 to 60 years. Data will be collected using standardized measures such as the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) and the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). The trial will take place at Ibne-Siena Hospital in Multan and a local physiotherapy clinic, utilizing non-probability convenience sampling for participant selection.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 40 to 60 years diagnosed with stage 2 primary adhesive capsulitis and experiencing moderate shoulder pain.

Not a fit: Patients with conditions such as diabetes, malignancy, infections, or other significant medical issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide effective non-surgical treatment options for patients with adhesive capsulitis, improving their pain management and functional mobility.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, the specific combination of Mulligan mobilization and the Niel Asher technique in this context is relatively novel.
