What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of motor control exercises delivered via telerehabilitation on shoulder function and quality of life in patients who have undergone rotator cuff surgery. The rehabilitation aims to alleviate pain, enhance joint range of motion, and facilitate a return to normal activities while preventing re-injury. The approach focuses on retraining scapulothoracic posture and muscle activation patterns to improve shoulder function. The study seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of these exercises in a postoperative setting.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have recently undergone rotator cuff surgery and can participate in telerehabilitation.

Not a fit: Patients with prior shoulder surgeries, neurological deficits, or systemic rheumatological diseases may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance recovery outcomes and quality of life for patients after rotator cuff surgery.

How similar studies have performed: While the evidence on motor control exercises is limited, there has been a growing interest in telerehabilitation for upper extremity conditions, suggesting potential for success.
