What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate how different medical treatments prior to in vitro fertilization (IVF) affect fertility outcomes in women with endometriosis-related infertility. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one receiving combined oral contraceptive pills, another receiving Dienogest, and a control group proceeding directly to IVF/ICSI. The study will monitor ovarian response through hormone levels and ultrasound examinations during the stimulation phase, aiming to optimize the number of mature follicles for egg retrieval. The ultimate goal is to improve fertilization rates and overall success in achieving pregnancy.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women diagnosed with endometriosis who are seeking their first IVF/ICSI cycle.
Not a fit: Patients over 40 years old or those with significant prior reproductive issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance fertility outcomes for women suffering from endometriosis.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown varying success with medical treatments in improving fertility outcomes in endometriosis, but this specific approach is relatively novel.
