What this trial studies
This research aims to evaluate the impact of educational interventions on the quality of life of women diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The study employs a randomized controlled quasi-experimental design, utilizing a quantitative research method to assess various aspects of quality of life, including psychosocial and emotional status, fertility, sexual function, obesity, menstrual irregularity, and hair growth. Participants will be divided into an education group and a control group to measure the effectiveness of the educational content provided. A sample size of at least 30 participants per group is planned to ensure adequate statistical power.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with PCOS and can communicate effectively in Turkish.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those with significant mental health issues requiring treatment may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve the quality of life for women suffering from PCOS through targeted education.
How similar studies have performed: While similar educational interventions have shown promise in improving quality of life in other conditions, this specific approach for PCOS is relatively novel.
