What this trial studies

This study examines the impact of sexuality-based family planning education delivered via podcasts on women's contraceptive method selection and sexual life quality. It involves a randomized controlled experimental design with 176 women of childbearing age in Istanbul, who will be divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group will receive education through five podcast modules, while both groups will receive a brochure on family planning. Data will be collected using various scales to assess contraceptive knowledge and sexual quality of life.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are sexually active women aged 15-49 who are willing to participate and have at least primary school education.

Not a fit: Patients who are not sexually active, have been trained in contraceptive methods, or have psychiatric illnesses may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance women's understanding of contraceptive options and improve their sexual quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on podcast-based education in this specific context, similar educational interventions have shown promise in improving health knowledge and outcomes.
