What this trial studies
The SES Children (SES Mini/SES Nxt) project aims to develop and test a digital intervention designed to support children aged 3-17 who are experiencing the negative impacts of parental divorce. This intervention focuses on enhancing children's self-efficacy and coping skills through a comprehensive online platform accessible via various devices. The project consists of two main stages: the development of the intervention based on child psychology research and the testing of its efficacy using a mixed-method design involving both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Families will be recruited through collaboration with the Agency of Family Law and local municipalities.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are custodial parents of children aged 3-17 who have experienced divorce or separation.
Not a fit: Patients without custodial children in the specified age range will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the mental health and well-being of children affected by divorce.
How similar studies have performed: While digital interventions for mental health are gaining traction, this specific approach targeting children of divorce is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
