What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to develop and test a digital health monitoring platform designed for older adults living in the community. Participants will use wearable sensors and smartphone applications over six weeks to track their health status and receive personalized feedback. The study will evaluate the platform's effectiveness in detecting health declines and connecting users with healthcare providers. Additionally, usability tests will ensure the platform meets the needs of older adults and their caregivers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are community-dwelling older adults aged 65 and older.
Not a fit: Patients with cognitive, sensory, or functional impairments that hinder survey participation or those in nursing homes will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this platform could significantly enhance the self-care capacity and mental health of older adults living independently.
How similar studies have performed: While similar digital health interventions have shown promise, this specific approach is relatively novel in its focus on community-dwelling older adults.
