What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on patients with complicated adrenal tumor diseases, aiming to improve diagnosis, treatment, and prognostic evaluation. It addresses key challenges such as hormone secretion variability, limitations of traditional imaging, unclear molecular characteristics of tumors, and difficulties in pathology assessments. By analyzing these factors, the study seeks to enhance early diagnosis and precise treatment options for affected individuals. The interventions may include surgical procedures or pharmacological treatments.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 75 diagnosed with primary aldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, or cortical cancer.
Not a fit: Patients with renal insufficiency, liver cirrhosis, current corticosteroid use, severe cardiac insufficiency, recent stroke or myocardial infarction, or those who are pregnant or lactating may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more accurate diagnoses and effective treatments for patients with adrenal tumors, potentially improving their prognosis.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be studies addressing adrenal tumors, this approach focuses on a comprehensive evaluation of multiple diagnostic and treatment challenges, making it a novel endeavor.
