What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a scale that evaluates the awareness levels of both short and long-term effects of physiotherapy in women diagnosed with breast cancer. The study focuses on understanding how these effects impact the quality of life for patients who have undergone various treatments for breast cancer. By assessing awareness, the researchers hope to identify gaps in knowledge that could be addressed to improve patient care and outcomes. The study will involve women over 18 who can read and understand Turkish and have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and can read and understand Turkish.
Not a fit: Patients who are men or have cognitive impairments that prevent them from answering questions will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance patient education and awareness regarding the importance of physiotherapy in managing post-treatment effects of breast cancer.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be studies focusing on physiotherapy for breast cancer patients, the specific development of an awareness scale is a novel approach.
