This study is creating a detailed database of critically ill adult patients at National Taiwan University Hospital to help understand their outcomes and how resources are used in intensive care.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to build a comprehensive database of adult critically ill patients at National Taiwan University Hospital, in collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society. The database will include detailed patient data such as hourly vital signs, laboratory results, diagnoses at admission and discharge, and clinical outcomes extending beyond 30 days post-ICU discharge. Data collection will be retrospective for patients discharged after March 1, 2019, and will continue prospectively until June 30, 2043. This initiative seeks to enhance understanding of critical illness outcomes and resource utilization in intensive care settings.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are critically ill patients aged 20 years and older admitted to intensive care units.
Not a fit: Patients under the age of 20 will not benefit from this study as they are excluded from participation.
