What this trial studies
This observational study aims to register and analyze data from surgical patients over 18 years old admitted to the general surgical intensive care units at Siriraj Hospital in Thailand. It focuses on understanding the adequacy of ICU services, resource utilization, and complications experienced by patients during their ICU stay. Data collected will include patient demographics, comorbidities, types of surgeries, and outcomes such as ICU length of stay and readmission rates. Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are surgical patients aged over 18 years who are admitted to the general surgical ICU.
Not a fit: Patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, traumatic surgery, or neurosurgery may not benefit from this study.
