CTA registry for abdominal aortic aneurysm measurements
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm CTA Cohort Study (AAA-CTA Registry)
RenJi Hospital · NCT07039825
This registry will collect CT angiography scans from people with abdominal aortic aneurysms to see if CTA measurements reliably describe aneurysm size and features.

What this trial studies
This observational registry will collect computed tomography angiography (CTA) images and measurement data from inpatient, emergency, and outpatient populations at RenJi Hospital who have abdominal aortic aneurysm. Radiologic and clinical data will be compiled to examine measurement reproducibility and detailed aneurysm morphology including diameter, wall thickness, and intraluminal thrombus. The project aims to establish standardized CTA-based assessment criteria to improve rupture risk stratification and guide timing of interventions. Data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and reproducibility measures to inform screening protocols and surgical planning.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Adults diagnosed with abdominal aortic aneurysm who have available CTA imaging and who were seen as inpatients, emergency patients, or outpatients at RenJi Hospital.
Not a fit: People without CTA imaging, with incomplete or missing clinical data, or whose care does not rely on imaging measurements are unlikely to benefit from this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the registry could lead to standardized CTA measurements that improve risk stratification and timing of interventions, potentially reducing AAA-related ruptures and deaths.
How similar studies have performed: CTA is already a widely used and accurate method for characterizing AAA morphology in prior studies, though large standardized registries to harmonize measurement criteria remain limited.
