Creating models of ovarian tumors to test new therapies and find biomarkers
Constitution of ex Vivo Ovarian Tumor Models for the Validation of the Interest of Innovative Therapies and the Search for Tumor or Circulating Biomarkers Predictive of Treatment Response
This study is trying to create models of ovarian cancer to see how well new treatments work and find markers that can help predict responses in patients with different stages of the disease.

What this trial studies
This study focuses on developing ex vivo models of ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and peritoneal cancer to better understand treatment responses. By collecting blood, urine, tumor, and ascitic fluid samples from patients, researchers aim to validate innovative therapies and identify predictive biomarkers. The study includes patients over 18 years old with various stages of ovarian cancer who are undergoing surgical management. The goal is to enhance the understanding of how these cancers respond to different treatments.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 with histologically confirmed ovarian cancer, fallopian tube carcinoma, or peritoneal cancer, regardless of disease stage.
Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant or have a history of clinically active malignancy in the last 5 years may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective treatments for ovarian cancer and improved patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific study's focus on ex vivo tumor models for ovarian cancer is relatively novel.
