What this trial studies

This study aims to design a customized primary care intervention to support caregivers of patients living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. It will utilize a Delphi-modified consensus method involving panels of caregivers, healthcare professionals, and academic experts to determine the most effective intervention strategies. The process will include multiple rounds of feedback and scoring to refine the proposed interventions, followed by an assessment of their acceptability among the participating communities. The goal is to develop a comprehensive intervention that addresses the unique challenges faced by caregivers.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study include informal caregivers of patients with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias, as well as healthcare professionals involved in their care.

Not a fit: Patients who are professional caregivers or do not have a direct caregiving role may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the support and resources available to caregivers of Alzheimer's patients, enhancing their well-being and ability to provide care.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of using a Delphi consensus method is established, the specific focus on tailored interventions for Alzheimer's caregivers is relatively novel.
