Creating a biobank for studying bilio-pancreatic diseases
Activation of Biobank for Association Study Between Environmental and Genetic Factors in Inflammatory, Functional and Neoplastic Bilio-pancreatic Diseases

What this trial studies
This study aims to establish a biobank that collects biological materials and clinical data to investigate the genetic predisposition to bilio-pancreatic diseases. It will utilize both prospective and retrospective approaches to evaluate the interplay between genetic and environmental factors in the development of these diseases. Samples will include blood, saliva, urine, stool, and other biological materials to facilitate comprehensive research into risk factors for disease prevention and early diagnosis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who are willing to provide informed consent.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years of age or those unwilling to sign informed consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this biobank could enhance understanding of bilio-pancreatic diseases and lead to improved prevention and early diagnosis strategies for patients.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of creating a biobank for studying genetic predispositions is established, the specific focus on bilio-pancreatic diseases may offer novel insights.
