What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of scapular-focused exercises in patients suffering from shoulder pain and scapular dyskinesis. Participants will be assigned to either a scapular exercise group or a control group receiving standard treatment. The study aims to determine if scapular exercises provide superior outcomes in improving shoulder function and reducing pain compared to conventional methods. The inclusion of patients with obvious scapular dyskinesis is a key aspect of this research, as previous studies have not specifically addressed this condition.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have experienced shoulder pain for at least one month and exhibit obvious scapular dyskinesis.
Not a fit: Patients with recent shoulder treatments, specific shoulder joint problems, or certain medical diagnoses may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective treatment options for patients with shoulder pain and scapular dyskinesis.
How similar studies have performed: While some studies have explored scapular exercises, this specific focus on scapular dyskinesis is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
