Comparing non-injected MRI to traditional MRI with contrast for Crohn's disease
Performance of Non-injected MR Enterography Compared to a Conventional MR Enterography Protocol With Contrast Agent Injection
This study is testing a new type of MRI for Crohn's disease that doesn't use injections to see if it can still provide accurate results while making the process easier for patients.

What this trial studies
This observational study evaluates the effectiveness of non-injected MR enterography compared to conventional MR enterography that uses a contrast agent in patients with Crohn's disease. The aim is to determine if fast MR sequences can accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings without the need for a hyperosmolar product that can be difficult for patients to tolerate. The study will include patients undergoing MR enterography for follow-up or suspected Crohn's disease, adhering to international examination protocols. By simplifying the procedure, the study seeks to improve patient comfort and diagnostic efficiency.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients undergoing MR enterography for follow-up or suspected Crohn's disease.
Not a fit: Patients who do not require MR enterography or have already been diagnosed with Crohn's disease may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could reduce discomfort for patients while maintaining diagnostic accuracy in assessing Crohn's disease.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on non-injected MR enterography, similar studies have shown promise in reducing patient discomfort during imaging procedures.
