What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of two therapeutic approaches, the McKenzie Protocol and ELDOA, in alleviating non-specific neck pain among teachers. Participants will receive either the McKenzie Protocol combined with conventional physical therapy or the ELDOA technique along with conventional physical therapy. The study will measure outcomes such as pain severity, range of motion, and disability levels in participants suffering from neck pain. Given the high prevalence of neck pain in the teaching profession, this research seeks to identify the most effective treatment method for this common condition.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are teachers with non-specific neck pain who have been experiencing mild to moderate pain and have a normal BMI.

Not a fit: Patients with neurological conditions, significant musculoskeletal disorders, or those who have undergone spinal surgery may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide teachers with a more effective treatment option for managing non-specific neck pain.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown varying success with exercise therapies for neck pain, but this specific comparison of McKenzie and ELDOA techniques is relatively novel.
