What this trial studies

This study investigates the frequency and amount of dysfunctional uterine bleeding following two different methods of tubal sterilization: Pomeroy's method during cesarean section and complete salpingectomy. The goal is to determine if one technique results in less bleeding than the other. Participants will be women aged 20-40 who have completed their families and are undergoing cesarean delivery. The study aims to provide insights into post-surgical outcomes related to uterine bleeding.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 20-40 who have completed their families and are scheduled for a cesarean delivery.

Not a fit: Patients who have undergone tubal sterilization by methods other than Pomeroy's or those wishing to retain fertility may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify the safer surgical option for women undergoing tubal sterilization, potentially reducing post-operative bleeding.

How similar studies have performed: There is limited information on similar studies, making this approach relatively novel in the context of comparing these specific surgical techniques.
