Combining motor relearning and aerobic exercise for stroke recovery
Combined Effects of Motor Relearning Program and Aerobic Exercise in Postural Stability and Lower Limb Function in Subacute Stroke Patients
This study is testing if combining a special movement program with aerobic exercise can help people aged 50-70 recover better from a stroke compared to standard care.

What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the combined effects of a Motor Relearning Program (MRP) and aerobic exercise on postural stability and lower limb function in patients recovering from subacute stroke. Participants aged 50-70 years with ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to receive either the combined treatment or standard care. The effectiveness of the interventions will be assessed using various scales to measure motor function and stability. The study seeks to build on previous findings that suggest combined therapies may yield better outcomes than single interventions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are subacute stroke patients aged 50-70 years who can follow directions and have no serious medical complications.
Not a fit: Patients with significant cardiac issues, other neurological diseases, or severe spasticity may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance recovery of mobility and stability in stroke patients, leading to improved quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with similar combined approaches, indicating potential for success in this trial.
