What this trial studies

This study focuses on collecting biological samples from patients diagnosed with Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes (PNS) or Autoimmune Encephalitis (AE) to improve diagnosis and treatment options. By gathering sera, cerebrospinal fluid, and other biological materials, the study aims to enhance understanding of these rare neuroimmune disorders. The goal is to facilitate faster and more accurate diagnoses, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients with well-characterized antibodies in their serum or cerebrospinal fluid and a neurological disorder compatible with PNS or AE.

Not a fit: Patients who refuse consent or are under guardianship will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic methods and treatment strategies for patients with rare neuroimmune syndromes.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is focused on biological sample collection, similar studies have shown promise in improving diagnosis and treatment for neuroimmune disorders.
