What this trial studies

This project aims to gather baseline movement data from a normative population of children aged 3 to 25 years, matching the demographics of pediatric patients expected to be treated at the Mary Bridge Children's Research & Movement Lab. The study will recruit 20 male and 20 female typically developing individuals and will utilize non-invasive motion analysis and force plate data to assess their bipedal gait patterns. The collected data will serve as a reference for understanding movement in children with pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are typically developing children aged 3 to 25 years who can walk independently.

Not a fit: Patients with neuromuscular disorders or developmental delays will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable normative data to improve the assessment and treatment of movement disorders in pediatric ALL patients.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have been conducted, this specific approach of collecting normative data for pediatric ALL patients is relatively novel.
