What this trial studies

This observational, multicenter, international study aims to gather comprehensive data on clinical and pathological characteristics, treatment regimens, outcomes, and prognostic factors in patients diagnosed with plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL). The study will retrospectively analyze medical records and histopathological samples from patients diagnosed between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2022. A centralized review of pathological samples will be conducted to ensure accurate diagnosis and to establish a recommended immunohistochemical diagnostic panel for PBL. Additionally, exploratory analyses will be performed to enhance the understanding of PBL.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults over 18 years old with a histologically confirmed diagnosis of plasmablastic lymphoma and complete medical records.

Not a fit: Patients with any histology other than plasmablastic lymphoma or those lacking complete medical records will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients with plasmablastic lymphoma.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on lymphoma, this specific focus on plasmablastic lymphoma is relatively novel and underexplored.
