What this trial studies
This interventional study aims to implement a comprehensive oncological model focusing on melanoma patients by collecting and biobanking various biological materials, including tissue and liquid biopsies. The study will utilize genomic and epigenomic methods for molecular monitoring to identify new actionable signatures. Patients will be evaluated by a Molecular Tumor Board to facilitate their inclusion in innovative clinical trials. The overarching goal is to enhance existing treatment pathways and establish a robust biostatistical platform for ongoing evaluation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with melanoma.
Not a fit: Patients with other medical conditions unrelated to melanoma may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to more personalized and effective treatment options for melanoma patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing biobanking and molecular monitoring have shown promise in improving treatment outcomes for cancer patients.
