What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a multi-center and multi-modality imaging standard cohort for patients with cerebrovascular disease. It will analyze various imaging techniques to understand the mechanisms affecting prognosis and explore potential therapeutic targets. Approximately 800 patients aged 18-80 years with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke will be recruited within 7 days of symptom onset. The study will collect baseline information and imaging data, with primary and secondary outcomes focusing on functional outcomes and complications over a year.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-80 who have experienced symptoms of cerebrovascular disease within the last 7 days.
Not a fit: Patients with non-cerebrovascular diseases or those unable to undergo the required imaging procedures may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and targeted treatments for cerebrovascular diseases, enhancing patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing multi-modality imaging have shown promise in understanding cerebrovascular diseases, indicating potential for success in this approach.
Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Age between 18 and 80 years old; * Onset of symptoms within 7 days; * Clinical diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease (ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic stroke) confirmed by head imaging (CT or MRI); * Signed informed consent form. Exclusion Criteria: * Diagnosed with non-cerebrovascular diseases (such as central nervous system infections, epilepsy, and metabolic encephalopathy); * Patients with contraindications to multimodal CT or MRI, functional near-infrared imaging, or those who cannot cooperate to complete the relevant examinations; * Patients with a life expectancy of less than 3 months or those who cannot complete the study follow-up due to other reasons.
