Cardiac rehabilitation with and without a specific exercise technique for patients after heart procedures
The Effect of Cardiac Rehabilitation With and Without Delorme Technique of Progressive Resisted Exercises to Improve Dyspnea and Quality of Life in Patients of Post PCI.
This study is testing if adding a special exercise technique to standard rehab helps older patients feel better after heart procedures.

What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effects of a cardiac rehabilitation program that includes the Delorme technique of progressive resisted exercises compared to standard cardiac rehabilitation alone in patients who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Participants aged 70 and older with a recent history of PCI and experiencing dyspnea will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group, which will incorporate the Delorme technique, or the control group, which will receive standard rehabilitation. The study will analyze the outcomes using statistical methods to determine the effectiveness of the added exercise regimen on patient recovery and quality of life.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients aged 70 and older who have recently undergone PCI and experience dyspnea.
Not a fit: Patients with renal failure, chronic liver disease, or chest disease may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance recovery and quality of life for elderly patients following PCI.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with similar cardiac rehabilitation approaches, suggesting potential for success in this trial.
