What this trial studies

This randomized controlled trial investigates the impact of breathing exercises on fatigue and perceived stress among intensive care nurses. Nurses will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group, which will practice specific breathing techniques, or a control group that will not receive any intervention. Data will be collected through pre-test, interim follow-up, and post-test assessments using validated scales to measure fatigue and stress levels. The intervention will last for 30 days, with regular practice facilitated through face-to-face sessions and audio recordings sent via WhatsApp.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are intensive care nurses who have been working in the field for at least six months and are willing to participate.

Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this study include those with health issues that prevent nasal breathing or those who are pregnant.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved mental well-being and reduced fatigue for intensive care nurses.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with breathing exercises for stress reduction, suggesting this approach may be effective.
