What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on identifying new biomarkers for Huntington's disease by combining remote monitoring techniques with fluid biomarker analysis. Participants will engage in video-based assessments and mobile app cognitive tests, with data analyzed using machine learning algorithms to track disease progression. The study aims to develop individualized markers that can be monitored at home, correlating digital assessments with changes in biological samples. Participants will have one in-person visit annually and remote check-ins every three months.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals who have tested positive for the Huntington's disease expansion mutation.

Not a fit: Patients with movement disorders who do not have a positive test for the Huntington's disease expansion mutation may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved monitoring and understanding of Huntington's disease, enhancing patient care and treatment options.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing remote monitoring and machine learning for neurological conditions have shown promise, indicating potential success for this approach.
