Automated non-contact measurement of blood pressure and oxygen levels using cameras
Non-contact Blood Pressure and SpO2 Measurement Based on Image Sensor
This study is testing a new way to measure blood pressure and oxygen levels using cameras instead of traditional methods to make it easier and more comfortable for patients during their visits.

What this trial studies
This study aims to develop a non-contact system for measuring vital signs such as blood pressure and oxygen saturation using image sensors. Conducted in collaboration with physicians from National Taiwan University Hospital, the system will allow for real-time measurements during outpatient visits or hospitalizations. The measurements obtained through the camera will be validated against traditional contact-based instruments to ensure accuracy. The goal is to enhance the convenience and comfort of vital sign assessments for patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 85 who do not experience any physical discomfort.
Not a fit: Patients over 85 years old, those with arrhythmias, severe heart disease, or those who wear facial makeup may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a more comfortable and non-invasive method for patients to have their vital signs monitored.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of non-contact vital sign measurement is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in the field of remote health monitoring.
