What this trial studies
The REACH-B study is an observational cohort study aimed at characterizing and monitoring the care and treatment needs of individuals living with chronic hepatitis B in Australia. Participants who have attended participating clinics for hepatitis B care within the last year will be enrolled, and data will be collected on demographics, laboratory parameters, liver disease assessment, treatment history, and clinical management. Follow-up data will be gathered at each visit or at least once a year to track treatment and disease progression.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 16 years and older who have been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B and have sought care within the past year.
Not a fit: Patients who have not been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B or have not attended a participating health service for care may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the understanding of hepatitis B management and enhance linkage to care for affected individuals.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies focusing on chronic hepatitis B management have shown success in improving patient outcomes, indicating that this approach is supported by prior research.
