What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the baseline characteristics and 90-day mortality rates of patients admitted with liver cirrhosis. It will identify risk factors associated with mortality within this timeframe, providing valuable insights into the management of this condition. The study highlights the significant health burden posed by liver cirrhosis and the importance of understanding post-discharge outcomes to improve patient care. By focusing on short-term outcomes, the research seeks to inform future healthcare interventions for this vulnerable population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years and older who have been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and are willing to provide consent.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years of age or those who are likely to be lost to follow-up will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding of mortality risks in liver cirrhosis patients, leading to improved management strategies and better patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown the importance of understanding short-term outcomes in liver cirrhosis, indicating that this approach is relevant and necessary.
