What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the prevalence and patterns of eye diseases among patients attending the Eye Investigation Unit at Sohag University Hospital from January to December 2025. It will focus on understanding the rates of conditions such as glaucoma and other ocular diseases that can lead to irreversible blindness, with a particular emphasis on gender differences in prevalence. The study will involve collecting data from all patients referred to the unit, while excluding those who cannot undergo necessary assessments. The findings will help inform community education and early treatment strategies.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable to measure visual acuity or intraocular pressure, as well as those who are mentally retarded or undiagnosed, may not benefit from this study.
