What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the prognostic value of MRI features in women diagnosed with endometrial cancer. It will analyze the textural characteristics of MRI scans to determine if they can provide additional prognostic information beyond traditional staging methods. The study will include patients who have undergone routine ultrasound and MRI as part of their care, with a focus on correlating imaging features with clinical outcomes. By leveraging advanced MRI technology, the research seeks to enhance the understanding of tumor behavior and improve patient counseling regarding prognosis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women with a confirmed diagnosis of endometrial cancer who have undergone MRI and have pathology specimens available for review.
Not a fit: Patients who are under 18 years old, pregnant, or lack the capacity to participate will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more accurate prognostic assessments for patients with endometrial cancer, potentially guiding treatment decisions.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using MRI textural analysis for prognostication in various cancers, suggesting this approach may be beneficial for endometrial cancer as well.
