What this trial studies
The Young Survivors at Kantonsspital Aarau project focuses on evaluating the prevalence and severity of late effects experienced by survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer. This observational study collects clinical data during regular follow-up visits, starting immediately after treatment completion and continuing longitudinally. By utilizing standardized criteria for severity coding, the study aims to overcome limitations of previous retrospective studies and enhance understanding of long-term outcomes for these survivors. The findings will inform improvements in follow-up care for childhood cancer survivors.

Not a fit: Patients in a palliative situation or those who have not consented to the use of their medical data may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better long-term care and management strategies for childhood cancer survivors experiencing late effects.
