Assessing Krüppel-Like Factors in Bone Tumors
The Prognostic Value of Tissue Expression of Krüppel-Like Factors 4 and 7 in Bone Tumors

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the prognostic significance of Krüppel-like factors 4 and 7 in children and young adults diagnosed with osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma. By analyzing tissue expression of these proteins, the study seeks to understand their role in disease progression and potential outcomes. Participants will undergo a thorough medical history review and physical examination to gather relevant data on symptoms and treatment protocols. The study will be conducted over a 12-month period at Ain Shams University Children's Hospital.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include children and young adults aged 15 to 39 with histologically confirmed localized or metastatic osteosarcoma or Ewing sarcoma.
Not a fit: Patients with second malignant bone sarcomas or benign bone tumors are unlikely to benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into the prognostic factors influencing treatment outcomes for pediatric bone tumors.
How similar studies have performed: While the role of Krüppel-like factors in other cancers has been explored, this specific investigation in pediatric bone tumors is novel and has not been extensively tested.
