What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate fatigue in patients diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) using subjective, objective, and cognitive assessment methods. Fatigue is a prevalent and debilitating symptom in MS, yet it remains poorly understood due to the lack of clear definitions and effective measurement techniques. By analyzing various factors contributing to fatigue and gathering comprehensive patient histories, the study seeks to enhance the understanding of this complex symptom. The results may provide valuable insights into the management of fatigue in MS patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18-65 with a confirmed diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting MS and an EDSS score between 1-5.5.
Not a fit: Patients diagnosed with MS for less than one year or those who have had an MS attack in the last three months may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved assessment and management strategies for fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis patients.
How similar studies have performed: While fatigue in MS has been studied, this approach of combining subjective, objective, and cognitive assessments is relatively novel and may provide new insights.
