Analyzing brain health indicators in a large cohort
Clinical Indicators and Brain Image Data: a Cohort Study Based on Kailuan Cohort
This study looks at how medical history and body signals affect brain health and small vessel disease in a large group of people to help find ways to prevent brain problems and improve treatment for those with high blood pressure.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore the relationship between medical history, physiological indicators, and cerebral small vessel disease, along with structural and functional changes in the brain and neck organs. By utilizing a large sample size from the Kailuan Cohort, the study seeks to identify factors influencing the development of these conditions. The findings could provide objective insights for early intervention and improved clinical outcomes for patients with brain diseases and hypertension.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 to 90 years who have participated in the Kailuan Cohort and have undergone relevant medical assessments.
Not a fit: Patients with known congenital or acquired organic diseases, psychiatric disorders, or those who are pregnant or lactating may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better early intervention strategies for cerebral small vessel disease, potentially improving patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While this study builds on existing knowledge, the specific approach of analyzing a large cohort for these particular indicators is relatively novel.
