Anaesthesia care during thrombectomy for stroke treatment
Anaesthesiological Routine Care for Thrombectomy in Cerebral Ischaemia

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the anaesthesiological care provided during endovascular thrombectomy for patients suffering from acute ischaemic stroke due to large-vessel occlusion. It will analyze various factors such as anaesthetic techniques, choice of substances, haemodynamic management, and ventilation to determine their correlation with patient outcomes. By employing multivariate analysis, the study seeks to identify which aspects of anaesthetic management are associated with better or worse recovery outcomes for patients undergoing this procedure.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients undergoing endovascular thrombectomy for acute ischaemic stroke requiring anaesthesia care.
Not a fit: Patients who experience an in-hospital onset of stroke or are under 18 years old may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance anaesthesia protocols, leading to improved outcomes for stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be existing studies on anaesthesia in stroke care, this specific focus on anaesthetic management during thrombectomy is relatively novel.
